Valerie Marquez was hired four years ago, in Miami, to teach a kindergarten class. Andrew Wexler was already there teaching another kindergarten class. It was hate from the day they met, and they were being called into the principal’s office on several occasions. Today they’re still fighting and at a going away party for Andrew’s best friend, a teacher at the school, they end up having hot sex that night, and decide maybe they can be friends, as she is not looking for a relationship. Then ten weeks later she finds herself pregnant, even though they used a condom, still fighting at school, now that they have to share a classroom. Valerie never wanted kids, but decides to keep it, and Andrew has promised to be there all the way for the kid. They soon find themselves spending a lot of time together, and falling in love, all though she doesn’t want to. This is a well-written novel, with two characters to get invested in, and root for. It’s part rom-com and all heart. You’ll find yourself falling in love with these characters, the way they fall for each other.
