Sarah and Adam were a happily married couple, with a little girl, a house, another baby on the way and he had a good job. He got leukemia and died, and told Sarah everything was prepared for her after his death. Then his best friend Graham, and his wife Ava, wanted to adopt the unborn child, and have her sign papers to be the guardian of her little girl. Then a strange woman shows up, Candace, claiming to be Adam’s mother, who Adam had said was dead. Turns out she is his mother, and with no place to turn for help, Sarah packs up and moves to rural Ohio to live with her. Turns out there was a reason Adam said his mother was dead, as each day goes by, Sarah learns shocking secrets about the man she loved, but never really knew. And now she finds herself in a bad situation, with no one to turn to, a baby on the way, and a crazy woman trying to dictate her life. This is a really good psychological thriller, that starts off strong and never lets up. It’s downright creepy at times, and has lots of twists and turns. Fans of these kind of books will enjoy this one.
