Summer owns the Beach Reads Bookstore, on a small island off of North Carolina, she took it over after the death of her mother a few years ago. It’s time for Valentine’s Day, and she’s got a big author signing, Lana Livingston, a New York Time’s bestselling author. A police detective shows up looking for Lana, turns out she’s a prime suspect in a murder, only for Lana to be found dead, and Summer’s friend Glads is a prime suspect. Summer decides to investigate to prove her innocent. She soon finds information that she never bargained for, and it may cost her everything. This is the third book in the series, and another fun one. Small town mysteries are a lot of fun, and with Mr. Darcy, a funny bird, this is a winner.
