Yakuza: Like A Dragon (XBOX One, PS4, Xbox Series X, PS5)

I just finished this game yesterday and my game clocked in at 116 hours. There are so many fun side quests and mini-games that my wife just continued playing it after it was done. I can’t argue that I will be continuing my gameplay beyond this point, but I really enjoyed my time with this game.

Before this game, I also spent over 40 hours with last years Yakuza murder mystery, ‘Judgement’. Which means that I have delved into the streets of Kamurocho and Ijincho for over 150 hours of 2020. The big reason for this lies flat in the laps of the characters and how wonderful it was to spend time with them.

I can’t argue that the story for this game is great writing by any stretch, but characters like Kasuga, Nanba, Adachi, and Seiko will be etched into my consciousness for years to come. And I can’t wait to see what they do with a sequel. Count me as a new fan of the ‘Yakuza’ series.
