10 Best of Christmas: Best Songs of 2018

The list I’m putting out today is the most subjective of all the lists I will be putting out. Growing up the son of a music producer and sleeping in studios, you could say I have some expertise on what makes a great song. While there might be a level of truth to that, there is also a level of bullshit. Music is all a matter of taste and as long as the artist can carry a tune than you usually can make a decent argument as to why something is your personal favorite song. Bottom line, these are my personal favorite songs that I heard this year and I recommend you take a listen. (However, if I could give the award for videos then it would go to “Say Something”. What a brilliant video! Check it out below.)

  • “Suspirium” – Thom Yorke – Suspiria Soundtrack
  • “Lives” – Daron Malakian and Scars on Broadway – Dictator
  • “Crazy, Classic, Life” – Janelle Monae – Dirty Computer
  • “Nothing Makes Sense Anymore” – Mike Shinoda – Post Traumatic
  • “Say Something” – Justin Timberlake (Featuring Chris Stapleton) – Man of the Woods
  • “Love is Madness” – Thirty Seconds To Mars (Featuring Halsey) – America
  • “Basic Needs” – Jonathan Davis – Black Labyrinth
  • “Pray for Me” – The Weeknd, Kendrick Lamar – Black Panther Soundtrack
  • “Always Remember Us This Way” – Lady Gaga – A Star Is Born Soundtrack
  • “Disillusioned” – A Perfect Circle – Eat the Elephant
