A wonderful and wacky look into trying to get a diverse movie that features black and Mexican characters made in Hollywood. The original script features no white actors. This is gonna be kinda tough. Understatement!

The script:-

Susan (Numa Perrier) travels to Mexico to rekindle a romance with the love of her life, Luis (Casasus). Susan is at the lowest ebb having a failed business behind her, very few friends and no love life. Luis is now married with four children. Not really a shocker as it has been ten years. Susan is disappointed, but stays on in Mexico for a while.

Susan consults various experts from her creative writing class to script consultants, etc. Everyone Susan speaks to has a take on the tweaks she should make, a new character here, change the nationality there, put in a known star, until the script is unrecognisable and has been mayonnaised!

One of the new characters is the gregarious Jenny, who makes friends easily with everyone she meets in Mexico. Jenny (Jen Sharp) soon finds her purpose while Susan aimlessly waits for Luis.

Una Great Movie is a very funny look at what happens when movies are made by committee. You get the gloss, however just beneath the surface hidden from view is the shit.
