Addison and Dr, Richmond Dougherty were married three months ago, after she blackmailed him about something he did when was younger, that no knows about. Now he is dead, having fallen down the stairs and she seems to be the prime suspect, especially since everything is hers now, she’s a rich widow. She has an alibi for the night it happens, but that doesn’t stop the ex-wife, his kids, the police and the whole town from thinking she did it and treating her like garbage. The suspect list grows to his ex-partner in his medical firm, a patient who lost his son during an operation and another doctor who performed surgeries as well and even Kathryn his ex. As the novel goes on, we find out exactly what Addison and Richmond were doing leading up to the wedding, the days of their marriage and the games and threats they made against each other. This is a great psychological thriller, with some many twists and turns, you really need to pay attention. The shocking reveals take place right to the very end and author Kane brilliantly keeps you reading along. This is one you will not want to put down.
