Book Review: ‘The Spider: A Killer Instinct Novel’ By Lars Kepler

The ninth novel in the series, is another thrilling story, that keeps you on the edge of your seat reading along. Detective Joona Linna is back, as is Saga, investigating a string of murders, with clues, and figurines being left to tell them who will be next, and where. There is a total of nine deaths planned, with Joona being the last one. It follows a pattern of a previous murderer in the series named Jurek Walter, whom Joona had previously gone against in a series of the novels. Now someone seems to be following in his footsteps, and each time the police are just a little too late to save the person being killed. And then suspicion falls on Saga, who goes on the run, and when she and Joona finally figure out who is the killer, and why, it may be too late for them. This is such a great series of books, and each one as good as the previous one (although it could have been about 50 pages shorter), still fans of this series will love this one.
