Six years ago Paul Brighman was on top of the world. Had a good-paying job on Wall Street, met a hot woman named Tatyana, the daughter of a Russian oligarch, Arkady Galkin, married her and got a job at his company. Things were going well, until he was asked to make investments in shady companies and figured out that insider trading might be going on. He was approached by the FBI to get information on Arkady’s business and agrees to do it. Soon things go to hell and Paul has to vanish, steals an identity and moves to a small New Hampshire town. Now today he’s finally been compromised, and bad people are after him. He has to run again into the wilderness of New Hampshire, and try to unravel what is going on now, with what happened in the past. His only hope is to reach out to the one person that left him a long time ago, and to the person that betrayed him six years ago. This is an intense psychological thriller that starts off fast and never lets up. Author Joseph Finder has written one of the best thrillers of the year already.
