I really liked the last novel by Lian Dolan (The Sweeney Sisters) and now she’s back with another well-written, character driven mystery set in Paris. Joan Blakely has been married to Casey for 10 years and now he drops a bomb on her, he has twin five year old boys and he wants to be more a part of their lives and wants Joan to be as well, all this as he is leaving town for work. She takes the time to file for divorce and get him out of her life. Joan gets a chance to return to Paris as an art courier and deliver a series of paintings about Joan of Arc. On the plane she meets Nate and they hit it off and get together. Then the next morning she finds the paintings have been stolen and she thinks Nate took them. She soon figures it wasn’t him and she starts getting crypic notes that include pages from her late father’s journals, that take her on a hunt throughout Paris and to meet a mysterious man, who knew both her father and mother, and learns a lot about her parents and what happened to the paintings. A fun mystery to follow along with, that includes flashbacks to Joan and her parents growning up and at its core it’s about family. Another great novel from Lian Dolan.
You can pick up Lost And Found In Paris in stores on Tuesday, April 5th from William Morrow.
