Six years ago Rona walked out of her sister’s Fiona’s flat leaving her little girl Beth with her and has not been heard from since. Fiona has been working and taking care of the little girl like her very own. Now she has gotten some news about her missing sister. She was working as a prostitute before she vanished. This sends shock waves through Fiona and now she is on a mission to try and find her sister.

Fiona starts reading about and investigating the life of the sex workers. She meets with a prostitute and asks a bunch of questions. She tracks down people from Rona’s past to try and get answers. And she suddenly finds herself intrigued by this lifestyle. In her quest for answers, she suddenly finds her life turned upside down and the allure and power that goes with this industry will change Fiona forever.

Kirsten Innes has written a compelling novel about one woman’s quest for answers. In it she finds out things about the industry and herself. It’s a remarkable journey that keeps the reader engaged throughout the story. She is someone to look out for in the future.
