Frankie has moved to a posh London neighborhood after she got divorced from her cheating husband. Alone, except with her cat, Blue, some furniture, and ready to start her life over. When she moves in, the neighbors are staring at her and the house. Blue, who likes to go outside, returns the first night with a note in his collar, help me. Not knowing who put it there or where Blue went, she puts a cat camera on him and is able to watch his movements. Frankie also meets her neighbor Matt and agrees to coffee and a date, and they get close. As she watches the cat cam footage, she gets more notes, and a woman named Anna has been held hostage for a year now, and Frankie suspects it is Matt who is holding her. When she gets too close to where Anna is being held, she finds her life in danger, and it’s a race against time to save her and Anna. An intense psychological thriller that starts off fast and never lets up. Filled with twists and turns, and an adorable cat. It’s a perfect summer beach read.
