The year is 1894, and it’s another day in London for Barker and Llewelyn, until four men arrive at their office asking for help. They want to meet the new Prime Minister, they have urgent business with him. Turns out their soldiers who fought in the Civil War in America, and claim they have signed documents about a ship they bought, and that England was going to help them win that war, and they want their ship. They claim to have people, and plans, to start another war, and take back America. Barker and Llewelyn, are hired to figure out who they really are, and if their claims are real. They soon learn that the American Government are also interested in them, and things get serious, when it turns out one of them may be someone believed dead, and Barker and Llewelyn must figure things out before it’s too late. And Llewelyn, he gets the shock of shocks from his wife, as a side story. I love these books. These characters are great, with an awesome bromance, and are so much fun to read. Fans of the series will be happy with this one.
