Lia Michaels is in the foster care system, she is smart, can pick any lock, and hack into most anything. She has also been in a lot of trouble and kicked out of every school she has attended. So her foster mother is sending her and her foster sister to an exclusive new school that has different ways of teaching. Only fifty students are taken in, and only five will graduate. These classes are not normal classes; weird things take place, students are dropping out quickly, and vanishing. Lia, along with her foster-sister and a few friends, have decided to try to escape, which leads to a showdown and a dangerous plan to bring this school down, and Lia soon learns shocking truths. This is an intense, well-written young adult novel that will keep you reading along right to the very end.
