You have an active Amazon Prime membership. Noted!
But, do you actually know that the Prime subscription equates to Prime Video access, a hack you wouldn’t want to miss if you are a content buff and always on the lookout for the visual gems.
If you are at sea with your selections and simply cannot zero in on the best shows to binge on, here is the list that might stick. Now that we are rounding up the underrated Amazon gems, you need to know that these shows or the Prime Video platform, in general, allow you to view content on smartphones, non-smart devices like the Fire TV Stick, and even PCs.
Prime Video boasts an impressive collection of Amazon original shows. In due course, the OTT platform has also accrued multilingual content and paired with content creators from different countries to bring the best shows into the US. If you are a part of the exclusive club comprising content connoisseurs, you might just find your binge-worthy series on this list.
Picnic at Hanging Rock
If you are expecting this TV show to reminisce the brilliance of the original, 1975 movie, let’s skip to the second name on the list. But then, for the mystery lovers, this TV adaption of the Australian novel is still good enough.
Powered by a furtive and eerie representation of disappearance, this TV show effectively captures the hysteria that sets in gradually and slowly unfurls dark secrets.
The Wilds
The plot revolves around a bunch of teenage girls, virtually shipwrecked on an island. Each character hails from a different background and that is what makes their struggle even more poignant and worth rooting for. Importantly, the all-female casting is what makes the show and the problems even more relatable.
Putting aside the cultural and sociological differences, the girls plan out a survival strategy, when things start getting murkier with the involvement of Rachel Griffith, who holds onto several secrets. This young adult series subtly combines intrigue with apt life lessons and never ceases to thrill the viewers.
Take from the Loop
Not simply a regular sci-fi TV show, Tales from the Loop projects a lot more than what meets the eye. The interconnected town spaces, symmetrical frames, and the entire narrative in general look way better when viewed on TV screens, courtesy of the Fire TV Stick and other streaming devices. However, if the Firestick remote stopped working all of a sudden, you can even enjoy the Take from the Loop on the smartphone or laptop, provided you remember the account ID and password.
However, the nuances and painterly feel of this series, as derived, are best experienced over bigger television screens, courtesy of the cinematic brilliance on display. This means, if you end up experiencing a malfunctioning remote, it is better to get it fixed the same, as soon as possible.
Good Omens

The unbridled, comic, yet monumental work of Gaiman and Pratchett gets translated into a worth miniseries, all thanks to the onscreen pairing of Michael Sheen and David Tennant. The association thrives on constant and untiring bickering but takes up the mantle to save the world from an imminent Armageddon, as and when the situation demands.
Good Omens seems more than a worthy adaption with the stacked cast and the Benedict Cumberbatch cameo lead the way for the prospective viewers.
The Terror
Primarily a horror anthology with Japanese folklore at the core, The Terror also brings back Jared Harris from the pre-Chernobyl fame. If you are into spine-chilling jump scares and the thrill of not knowing what’s in the mist, this is the perfect show to binge on.
Strung with an abysmal atmospheric dread where the cabin fever and harsh conditions set the stage for improvisations, this show is also experienced best if you have a Smart TV or a streaming device like the Fire TV stick on you.
Fleabag

Can something get better than a name as interesting as the Fleabag? Well, yes, the story of Fleabag trounces the innovative name with Phoebe Waller starring in this exhilarating comedy series, adapted primarily from what was supposed to be a simple play. Phoebe has even drafted the screenplay where she is seen enjoying a life full of sex and humor, often intertwining as one.
Catastrophe
Are you in the mood for a rom-com? If yes, Catastrophe is the perfect show to consider for the weekend. Bostonian Rob and Londoner Sharon get all mushy and end up having a one-week stand that results in an unwanted pregnancy. Following the scenario is a witty yet humorous story covering parenthood, marriage, age, and definitely sex.
Hanna

Does the Joe Wright thriller dating back to 2011 bring back memories? If not, we would urge you to experience Hanna first hand as the excellent action thriller has been finally fleshed out by Amazon as a TV series. With Esme Creed-Milles playing the lead, a young assassin embroiled in the wilderness, the show readily explores her backstory and the CIA’s obsession with putting her behind the bars.
Apart from these gems, you can keep searching for other top-shelf shows, either by switching on the Fire TV Stick or logging into your Amazon Prime Video account. Apparently, the choices are almost endless.
