The original Star Trek was an awesome show and way ahead of its time for when it aired from 1966-1969 and had solid ratings and fans rallied around the show but NBC still cancelled it. But once it was cancelled became a cult-classic and even to this day remains very popular. The story centered around the crew of the USS Enterprise with Captain James T. Kirk (William Shatner, first officer Mr. Spock (a Vulcan played by Leonard Nimoy) and medical officer Leonard H. Bones (DeForest Kelly) along with other regulars engineer Scotty (James Doohan), Lt. Sulu (George Takei) and Uhura (Nichelle Nichols). Together they made for 79 episodes (seems like more) traveling the in outer space on various missions taking on the Romulans and the Klingons on occasions and in some episodes had to fight each other to stay alive. But Kirk and Spock always came up with ways to get out of the toughest situations. The chemistry among the cast was awesome and is showed on screen in each and every episode. Relive it all now, especially my favorite episode ‘The Trouble With Tribbles’ in Blu-ray, with the special edition Steelbook collection. It’s available in stores on Tuesday, October 26th.
