Bringing a baby into the world is truly a special event. Even better when the process is simple, straightforward and takes the allotted 9 months. Unfortunately for Katie and John Kelly, their journey to their ultimate family goal takes every scenic route possible, which made Making Babies a thoroughly funny and relatable film.

Eliza Coupe who plays Katie Kelly was wonderful! She was awkward, quirky, funny and so natural in this role. It definitely fit her! I loved her in this movie as well as Steve Howey who plays her husband John. Making Babies is s super hilarious and fun film. Comedy at every turn with serious moments sprinkled throughout as they struggle to have a child. Katie Kelly is adamant about doing anything to have a child whereas John’s patience begins to wane during the process. As they both deal with sacrifice and complications, their forced to navigate the comedic world of their families, friends, employers and physicians.

There aren’t many things that make me feel better than watching a great movie. I was glued to the screen from the onset of Making Babies. I don’t anticipate that others will like it. I am guaranteeing it! It’s a great film.
