Fear can be paralyzing, or be the seed we require to do and overcome that which terrifies us. For most of the living, that which terrifies is death and the uncertainty of it. However, there are those who become invigorated by death and are drawn to it. Investigation 13 encompasses every aspect of what death incites in us. The film follows a group of friends whose investigation into an old fable becomes more than any of them can handle.

Most stories share elements of others before and after them but the key to their uniqueness are the small wrinkles used to aid in conveying the narrative. Investigation 13 takes some unique and risky chances as the film progresses but I believe they worked. The writers used interesting imagery to explain various scenes in a way I’ve never seen in a movie. I felt this relatively original entry coupled with the films overall direction made for a very watchable and cool movie.

Investigation 13 is one of those films you watch whenever it’s available or on. It has many real world relatable moments and the characters are very believable in their endeavors. It’s a fun film and I believe others will feel the same upon watching it.
