Review by Caitlin Zeigler

FBI Special Agent Daria Francis (Amanda Schull) looks into the disappearance of a woman, Maria Pritchard (Bridget Regan) and her child Jonah (Spencer Drever), after all signs point to the husband as being the only suspect. Jackson Pritchard (Milo Ventimiglia) tries to tell Agent Francis and Deputy Salter (Shawn Ashmore) that he didn’t harm his family and this is the work of the devil. They notice that he’s acting very strange and they go to arrest him. While Jackson is arrested, Agent Francis hears a noise coming from the basement and goes to check it out. Jackson believes he has captured a demon who has taken his family, while Agent Francis believes he has captured some type of inbred animal.

It turns out that they are both wrong and dealing with something else entirely. Aliens are dealing with a dying planet and are looking to inhabit people and move to Earth. Agent Francis, Deputy Salter and Jackson have to keep safe in Jackson’s home long enough to get Maria and Jonah back safely and figure out how to deal with everything going on.

This film is okay, but it does lag throughout. Sometimes, you just know they could skip over scenes. They did do a good job with special effects and the acting is good, but the film isn’t exciting to see. It was nice to see Jonathan Frakes as Sheriff Gruewell trying to talk sense into Agent Francis, but you know she will never learn her lesson from the beginning of this film to the end of it. This is the type of film you’d watch on Syfy if nothing else is on or you’re bored.
