After years of trying, Gary Foster’s wife, Beth, is finally pregnant. But then she is diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. Their only hope is an experimental treatment abroad, but the high cost is out of reach. Meanwhile, time is running out. That’s when a strange man approaches Gary, and offers the money he needs on one condition: that he kill someone. The author, an Iowa native and award-winning advertising copywriter, was compelled to write the novel after reading a newspaper article about a man whose sick wife could have been helped by an experimental treatment, but they couldn’t afford it.
