Loosely based on Toby Young’s memoir, the 2008 comedy movie is about a British journalist called Sidney Young, played by Simon Pegg, struggling to make it in the U.S. after finding work at Sharps Magazine.
Megan Fox plays a budding starlet who is being romantically pursued by Young.
The film also stars Gillian Anderson, Jeff Bridges, Kirsten Dunst, and many other famous faces.
How to Lose Friends & Alienate People was a number-one box-office smash in the U.K.
Although many film critics weren’t fans of the movie, Pegg and Fox provided stellar performances and there are many hilarious moments throughout.
2. The Battle of Jangsari
You might have missed this 2019 war movie from South Korea that tells the true story of 772 student soldiers who stage a diversionary operation to draw North Korean soldiers to Jangsari Beach in Yeongdeok.
Megan Fox plays the New York war correspondent who covered the Korean War and brought its attention to the international world.
The Battle of Jangsari also stars Kim Myung-min and Choi Min-ho. The latter won the Jury’s Special Prize award for the movie at the 2021 40th Golden Cinema Film Festival.
3. Think Like a Dog
Returning to comedy movies, Think Like a Dog is a fun family film from 2020 that stars Josh Duhamel and Megan Fox.
The story revolves around a twelve-year-old prodigy’s science experiment that goes wrong.
The experiment results in the boy forging a telepathic connection with his dog. Together, the boy and dog overcome the complexities of home and school life in typical comic fashion.
If you want a switch-off movie that will undoubtedly raise a few laughs, Think Like a Dog is a great film to choose from.
4. Friends with Kids
Another fun comedy movie that you might want to check out if you have not seen it is the 2011 film Friends with Kids.
The title gives the plot away. It is about two close friends who decide to have a child together while not getting romantically involved.
Adam Scott and Jennifer Westfeldt play the two friends, with Megan Fox providing support as the character Mary Jane.
This sharp and shrewd romantic comedy is undoubtedly worth checking out.
5. Night Teeth
While the critical reception for the 2021 vampire movie Night Teeth was mixed, the thriller is much better than some critics could lead you to believe.
Alongside Megan Fox, the picture stars Jorge Lendeborg Jr., Debby Ryan, Raul Castillo, and Lucy Fry.
The plot revolves around a chauffeur called Benny who is hired to drive two women called Blaire and Zoe to various L.A. nightclubs.
However, Benny does not know that Blaire and Zoe are actually vampires. Nor does he know that a wealthy vampire lord called Victor is planning to disrupt the peacefulness that has existed between humans and vampires for centuries.
