Dexter: New Blood

Dexter ended in 2013 with a less than stellar finale according to a lot of people. Now years later the people that made the show and Showime, in 2021, made another season of the show and wrapped it up the way it should have been. Michael C. Hall reprised his role as Dexter and was joined by Jack Alcott as his son, and original stars Jennifer Carpenter, Clancy Brown, JOhn Lithgow and David Zayas. Ten years ago Dexter faked his death and moved to a small New York town and has lived a quiet life and even found love with the local police chief Angela Bishop. But things are about to change. His son Harry shows up unexpecedly and he has an agenda. Dexter is also seeing visions of his dead wife Debra. When things start going wrong in his area, Dexter begins to wonder if he’s back in action after so many years of being good. By the time the limited series wraps up, there’s a shocking death and room for a spin-off series. This is the way the original show should have ended. With solid writing and a good plot, this is the way to wrap up a series. Watch all ten episodes on Blu-ray or DVD.
