The world today is filled with humans and supernatural people that get along. There are also zombies roaming the earth that are contained away from everyone else until now. Edie Brandstrip has seen a breech and her neighbor Chad is out and she sees a zombie going after him and tries to save him. She soon learns he’s a vampire and his name is Gaston. He has a hidden underground home that is awesome. They spare a lot and Edie is determined to get out and notify the authorities about the zombie outbreak. They soon run into a group of supernaturals including witches, faes, trolls and others that are ready to make a stand. Edie and Chad/Gaston become close and he drinks from her and they have hot sex (some steamy scenes). It leads to a dangerous plan to do away with the zombies and it may just cost one of them their lives. This is a unique rom-com, that’s a lot of fun to read. Watching the two main characters fall for each other is refreshing and engaging. A perfect summer beach read.
