Brooklyn is married to Trey, they have two kids, and live in Nashville. She is a photographer, and he works in finance for her uncle’s company. It’s getting close to Christmas, and out of the blue, Trey tells her he bought tickets to go to Italy, and they leave tomorrow. This is completely out of the blue for Trey, but Brooklyn agrees. The next day at the airport, their flight is chanced and they go through Atlanta, which freaks Trey out. At the airport, a woman named Eden comes up to Trey, calls him by a different name, and says they know each other, which he denies. When it’s time to board the plane, Trey vanishes, and Brooklyn gets off the plane and has no idea what is going on. Eden befriends her, and soon confesses who she is, that Trey had a secret life before he got together with Brooklyn, and she soon learns that Trey is not who he seems to be. This sets off a search to find him, people are injured, people are killed, and Eden has a big secret of her own. It leads to shocking reveals and just what is really going on. This is a twisty novel, where nothing is as it seems. You need a scorecard to keep track of all the twists. This is one of those novels you will not want to put down. One of the best books of the summer.
