Zoe Marsh has a successful true-crime podcast, and has just finished her latest season and is getting ready to start the next season. Olivia Cruz, who was kidnapped three years ago, is going to talk to Zoe about it, but Zoe never shows up for the interview. This is not normal for Zoe, and soon her husband calls the police, when she doesn’t come home. They always look at the husband first, and there is evidence that things were not good between them. Olivia starts investigating Zoe’s disappearance, since the police are not. She joins up with her niece, Nicki Cruz, and soon they find Zoe’s phone and see a text that says ‘run.’ They soon find shocking reveals about Zoe’s past, and as they close in on where she may be, they need to keep their backs safe as well. This is an intense, page-turning novel with a great climax to the story. This is one you will not want to put down.
