Eddie Parker and five other people find themselves in a makeshift town with no money, phones or any way to get any help. They’re being hunted for reasons they don’t know about. They decide to work together to try and find a way out of their situation. We soon learn each has secrets about their pasts, and there’s a reason they are all here. One by one they’re being picked off, in gruesome ways, and finally meet the caretakers of this whole event and are told if they survive until Christmas (which is a day away for those that are still alive), they can walk out of this nightmare, only to have a shocking twist revealed you never see coming. This is another awesome novel from authors Murray and Wearmouth, who never disappoint. The novel starts off strong and never lets off. The murders and plot remind you of the movie Saw, and it’s a real page-turner of a book. A perfect Halloween novel.
