Fifteen years ago on the isle of Eris, writers were invited by billionaire, Argos Alexander, for a writer’s retreat. It helped launch Maia Gold’s first and only novel, which was a smash. It also caused her to lose her boyfriend, Ian, and her friend, Annika. Today Maia works at a museum her father started and she along with the other people that were on the island 15 years ago and invited back. It’s all mysterious and when they arrive things are strange and there’s no sign of Argos until they find his dead body. They band together to try and figure out who killed him and with no phone or internet or way off the island they’re trapped. Then others die and the rest are still trying to figure out what is going on. Soon shocking secrets are revealed, lives are in danger and Maia learns her life is not what she thought it was. The plot is filled with references to Greek Mythology and it enhances the story. With all the twists, the setting and the characters it makes for a fun murder mystery.
