Book Review: ‘Wrapped With A Beau: A Novel’ By Lillie Vale

Piney Peaks, Pennsylvania is where the hit Christmas movie Sleighbells was filmed 50 years ago, featuring the town, the people who lived there, and Christmas House, owned by Maeve. Now they want to do a sequel, and use the town, and the house once again, and Elisha Rowe, who lives here, is the film location scout, and had permission from Maeve to use the house, but she passed away. The house, which is across the street from where she lives, is now owned by Ves Hollins, and they have a bad first encounter. He’s a moody, unhappy man, who doesn’t want to be here going through the house, and getting it ready to sell. At first, he says no to the filming, but then changes his mind. He and Elisha become friends, and soon his mood and hers change, and they decide on a Christmastime romance, since he will be going back to New York. Well you know who these things go, and they fall for each other, but don’t want to admit it. Can they put down their defenses, and admit what they truly want? Another well-written, fun rom-com, that hits all the right notes. Fans of this genre will be happy with this one.
