Allegra Brooks is a well-known, award-winning actress, who is 18, and has a secret she is autistic. When she finds herself with the summer off, she heads to Lake Pristine to visit her father, who has a bookstore and is preparing for a big summer book festival. She is looking forward to actually having a normal time and hopefully make some friends. She will also be working at the store, along with employees Simon and Jonah, who is also autistic, really into his job, and grumpy at times, and gets off on the wrong foot with Allegra. As the summer days go on, the two start to become close and fall for each other. Allegra has a secret, she has been emailing with someone at the store and thought it was Simon, until she figures out it was Jonah. When the press shows up and gets compromising pictures, things start to spiral out of control, and it may mean the end of them. This is a good look at the life of being autistic, the life of being a star, and two young people falling in love. Fans of young romance will enjoy this one.
