Book Review: ‘Wild Card’ Is The Next Thrilling Stone Barrington Novel

by | Mar 15, 2019 | Books | 0 comments

Stone Barrington is back and as usual is in the thick of it. He’s at his English estate with his latest girl Jamie Cox (the reporter from the last book). She’s finishing up her novel on H Thomas & Son (again from the last book). Things seem to be going good until they learn that the FBI has no evidence to bring H. Thomas & Son up on charges. So they are free to continue on. They also want revenge against Stone and soon someone tries to take him out in England. He increases security and hides out there for a while.

Soon they return to New York where he, Bob Cantor and Jamie have to watch their backs. One plot after another tries to take them out. On top of that Holly’s Presidential run is in full swing and she has to keep her distance from Stone for now. H. Thomas & Son are also trying to influence the Republican candidate, the junior Senator from Florida and have gotten his poll numbers up. They plan to sabotage him at some point during the campaign.

H. Thomas & Son puts a plan in motion to take out Stone, Bob, Jamie and everyone else that has wronged them. When people flip on each other it leads to deadly consequences. Who will survive and who will die?

Another thrilling Stone story with all the favorites taking place over many cities. Stone is one of the luckiest guys around to keep surviving all the attempts on his lives over 49 books. Plus he is one stud with all the women he has bedded over the years. If you haven’t jumped on the band wagon and been reading any of these books jump on in. They are easy to read and Stuart gives enough backstory so you know who is who and what is going on.

You can pick up Wild Card in stores on Tuesday, March 26th from Putnam.
