The year is 1816 and in London it’s been a very rainy summer, one of the worst in recent memory. Sebastian is at home and receives a visit from a young man, Jamie, who tells him he has seen a dead body hanging on Saville Street, that of Lord Preston Farnsworth, his body hanging upside down. He was not a very liked guy, his wife left him for another man, Hugh, six years ago and he sued him for a lot of money and they have never divorced. Hugh becomes the prime suspect in the murder and Sebastian is on the case trying to figure out who the murderer is and it leads to a lot of potential suspects, shocking secrets and attempts on both him and his wife’s lives. This is the 20th novel in the series and it’s another great one. These novels are well-written with great characters and intense stories. Fans will love this one.
