June and May Bennett grew up on Avril Island for part of their lives. Then their father went missing and their mother claimed she sold the island. After her death May learns the island was never sold and she now owns it. She dies right after finding out and now June owns it. She decides to go back there after all these years and see if she can learn the secrets of the island. She runs into Ezra, an old friend from her days on the island and they start hanging out and sleeping together. May is a ghost now and looking over June. She tries to guide her and talk to her with no avail. Soon June starts to learn shocking secrets and soon finds a body on the island. Then the shocking truth comes out and it’s a doozy and June finds her life in danger and she may not survive to tell anyone about it.

A solid thriller with twists and turns you don’t see coming that keep the reader engaged throughout the story, right up to the climatic reveals (yes they’re are more than one). You won’t want to put the book down.

You can pick up What You Never Knew in stores on Tuesday, April 13th from Crooked Lane.
