Jay is 17 years old and has lived on his own since he was fifteen, having to get away from his overbearing father. When his father is struck down with an illness, and commits suicide by drowning, with no body ever found, Jay decides to dive to try and find any remains. He finds a giant squid, which puts him in jeopardy, then a large sperm whale appears, When the whale eats the squid, it takes Jay as well. Now he’s still alive, but stuck in the belly of the whale. He must escape the belly and the whale, before it’s too late. He uses everything he can, including the memories of his late father, to try and save his life, before running out of oxygen, or the whale going too deep in the water. An intense, emotional novel, filled with all sorts of scientific knowledge, will keep you reading along. This is a real page-turner.

You can pick up Whalefall in stores on Tuesday, August 8th from MTV books.
