Charley Castillo is the current Presidential Agent, and he helps stop a terrorist attack in Virginia Beach, but is injured and in serious condition in the hospital. The President, wanting to know what is going on, promotes Pick McCoy to the position and asks him to figure out who was behind the attack. Pick soon discovers that another attack may be taking place in San Antonio, and rushes to the scene, and finds Charley’s Abela is in danger from the rogue group attacking America. There is a shootout at the Alamo, and a few officers are killed, but major deaths are averted. Pike, in order to get information, flies to Vienna, then Argentina, then right below the border, and learns who is behind this and why, and all comes back to him, and he’s determined to stop this once and for all. In a year of great action thrillers, this one is right up there with the best. An action-packed thrill ride that never lets up and a good book to end the year with.
