Book Review: ‘W.E.B. Griffen Rogue Asset: A Presidential Agent Novel’ By Andrews & Wilson

Author W.E.B. Griffin died a few years ago and now his Preisdential Agent novel series has been started up again by authors Brian Andrews and Jeffrey Wilson. This is book number 9 in the series (and full disclosure my first time reading one of these books). And it is Great! It’s pure action, with great characters (especially Junior and McCoy) and a plot that keeps you engaged throughout the novel. I’m sure W.E.B. would be proud of this continuation of his series. The Secretary Of State Frank Malone has beek kidnapped in Egypt and wisked away to a secret locaton in the Sudan. President Natalie Cohen decides to review a secret program called Presidential Agent. And once again gets Charley Castillo to lead it. He brings along a USMC Raider named McCoy and also has Junior, a man who can get anything done anytime and Ani, who has worked undercover in the Middle East and has many contacts (but her cover gets blown). The four of them team up to find Frank and hopefully bring him home alive. Their investigation takes them to Sudan, where they engage in many battles in an attempt to bring Frank home. If you’re a fan of the action-thriller genre, this is a perfect way to end the year. Hopefully there will be more adventures with these four characters.

You can pick up Rogue Asset in stores on Tuesday, December 7th from Putnam.
