The second novel in the series is set in 1950, and Viviana now if a partner with Tommy, in the private investigator firm. Buster Beacon owns a mansion, and has been hearing strange noises. He hires them to come investigate, and to stay at the house for the weekend, where he is having guests. The first night, one of the guests gets sick, and it turns out he was poisoned and dies. So now they’re investigating a murder as well. Seems all the guests, and the host have secrets, the FBI is secretly involved, and during a snowstorm, everyone is stranded at the house. When another guest is injured, Viviana and Tommy go on the offensive to figure out who is the guilty person(s), and along the way their relationship may just become something more. A solid, fun follow-up to the first novel, with a lot happening, personally and professionally. I can’t wait to see where the next book goes.

You can pick up Viviana Valentine Goes Up The River in stores on Tuesday, May 2nd from Crooked Lane.
