Book Review: ‘Unnecessary Drama: A Novel’ By Nina Kenwood

Brooke had feelings for Jesse when she was fourteen, and in school. Then he said something that broke her heart, and they became enemies. She then was with Tristan before she graduated, but he dumped her for another girl. Now she is off at Uni, living with Harper, who has a girlfriend, and another roommate she hasn’t met yet. Then in comes Jesse, her new roommate. This throws her for a loop but, she figures she can deal with it, and they make a tentative, civil agreement. When they are out, and run into Tristan at a bar, they pretend to be a couple, and then things start to heat up for real, until she once again overhears something Jesse says. But even that doesn’t stop them from having feelings for each other, but neither one wants to be the first to admit it, and one of them will have to if they’re to be together. A fun rom-com, featuring characters you root for to be together.
