Molly Martin owns a horse rescue farm, and gets a call from Sheriff Grady about someone that has neglected animals, and she ends up with a sick horse. Then the next day she gets a call about a loose horse in a hunting area, and is off to corral the horse, but finds more than that. She finds a dead body, Coach Griggs, who she had as a teacher when she was in school. He had just come to visit her looking for a horse. She also finds a flash drive hidden on the horse. She decides to investigate herself, and she must be getting too close, when she gets a warning to stop, and if she doesn’t, she could be next. This is the second novel in the series and is another winner. Fans of small-town murder mysteries, that are easy to read, and like horses, will like this one.
