Dr. Lionel Scott is worried about climate change and its effect of it on the earth, and how Gaia, who in Greek Mythology is the mother of earth and decides to do something about it. He has created an airborne virus that could wipe out half of the earth’s population, worse than covid. He has a small group put together, and they’re making plans to unleash it. Lucas Davenport, his partner Rae, his daughter Letty and M-15 agent Alec Hawkins, are sent to a remote area of New Mexico (their last known location), to find them and stop the virus from being unleashed. It’s now a race against time to find Scott, the virus and stop it before things get into the media, and out into the world. This is another great Prey novel, that’s all action, and it’s hard to put this one down. Sandford likes to pair his characters up, usually, it’s Lucas with Virgil Flowers, and the results are always good. Fans of the series will really like this one.
