Lucy Ashby lives in Toronto now and owns the florist shop her late aunt started. She’s preparing the flowers for her best friend’s wedding, Bridget, in a little over a week, when she gets an emergency call from her. She’s back home, in Prince Edward Island, and needs her. Lucy is on her way but worried she will run into Bridget’s brother Felix, who she had a one-night stand with five years ago, not knowing it was her brother. Over the years they have hooked up a few more times and Bridget doesn’t know about it. When she gets there, she has no idea what’s bothering her friend, and when she sees Felix, they both feel something more than hooking up. As the days go on, deeper feelings are happening, Bridget confides what’s bothering her, and Felix and Lucy decide they want more from each other. The problem is he lives here, she lives in Toronto, and long-distance dating doesn’t work very well. They need to figure out what they want, or end it once and for all. This is another great rom-com from author Fortune, who knows how to tell a story and make you feel like you are right there on the island. If you’re a romance fan, this will be one for your list. In stores on May 7th, from Berkley.
