Cooper and his eight year old daugher Finch have lived off the grid since she was born. It’s a small cabin with no electric, no internest, no phones and no one else around, except for a noisy neighbor named Scotland. The cabin is on the other side of a national park. Cooper is an vet wo has had anger issues since returning. He fell in love with Cindy and they had Finch. Cindy was killed in a tragic car accident and her parents took custody of Finch and Cooper took her back and they’ve been in hiding ever since. They have a way of life in the cabin and the woods and until now things have been going good. Once a year his best friend and owner of the cabin Pete would bring supplies. But this year he doesn’t show but his Marie does with supplies and bad news. And there’s also a mysterious girl that has been seen and she may have seen Cooper and Finch. And then she goes missing and everything could change for Cooper and Finch.

A great setting highlights this story of a father’s love for his daughter and safety. He will do anything to protect her and keep her safe. You get emotionally connected to the two of them and root that they will be able to stay together.

You can pick up These Silent Woods in stores on Tuesday, October 26th from Minotaur Books.
