Crystal and her friends are entering a gaming competition and the winning team could win a lot of money as could the one person with the best score. She thinks they may have a shot and her family needs the money. Then Crystal gets a strange text on her phone…her sister has been kidnapped and will be killed if she doesn’t play the game. A series of texts and challenges await Crystal that she must complete in a certain time period in order to save her sister. All the tasks seem to be a revenge plot against her friends and not all will survive. Crystal tries to figure out who is sending these texts and is told not to go to the police or tell anyone. Her phone has been hacked and whoever is doing this knows her every move. It all leads to a shocking reveal of something that happened years ago and Crystal finally gets the upperhand but it might be too late for her sister. A great YA novel that you follow along with and don’t want to put down. If you’re a fan of this type on novel you will not be disappointed.
