A solid rom-com debut from author Kelly Rea full of humor and love for a group of people in Columbus, Ohio. Willa Caster’s live changed for the worse six months ago. She found her fiance in bed with her best friend and it affects her job as a blogger. Now she lives with her sister, her wife and their three kids. She also works for her party business as Princess Sparkleheart. On her way to a blind-date at a coffee shop, she meets Maisie Mitchell, who asks her to pretend to be her friend when her fiance Finn shows up. She then offers her $5000 to be her ‘friend and bridesmaid’ in her upcoming wedding, as she’s one person short. They soon become close and then Willa meets the hunky Dr. Liam, who she’s had a previous run-in with and she thinks he’s an ass. But she soon sees another side of him and they start dating and become close. Soon the secret of Willa and Maisie comes out, as do other secrets and now both relationships are threatened. If you’re a fan of the rom-com, this is the perfect debut novel, with well-written characters you root for and want to be happy.

You can pick up The Wedding Ringer in stores on Tuesday, November 9th from Berkley.
