In Scotland, Arran Adebayo is a single dad, his ex running out on him on their wedding day. Since then he hasn’t wanted to open his heart again. Liv Holland is a school teacher and is the sister of Arran’s best friend, and the teacher of Arran’s son. They have a mutual attraction between the two of them, but are afraid to admit it to each other. With her brother getting married, they’re in charge of activities for the combined hen/bachelor party. The more they work together on the project and hang out like a family, the closer they get, and they have to admit to themselves and each other how they feel, and see where, if anything this can go, and if they can open their hearts up for love. This is a well-written, character-driven love story, that we get to watch in real time. For fans of rom-coms, it doesn’t get much better than this one.
