Secrets never stay buried. And for a mother and her two daughters the truth is/will finally come out years after the face. Susie Anderson has died right before her 40th birthday and has left a series of letters for her sister Camilla and instructions with what to do with the letters and her ashes. It sends Camilla on a journey to London from Australia, then to ide da clair in France and then back to London and along the way her mother joins her. The secrets involve her past and Susie had learned the shocking truth about her and now leads Camilla to learn the truths of their family and past. The story is set in the present and in earlier time, so we learn the secrets along with Susie. It’s a great character written story, that you follow along with and the twists and turns keep coming throughout the novel. It’s a beatuiful tale of three women and family and how secrets came between them.
