Alex Carter gets a new assignment in New Mexico, by the Land Trust for Wildlife Conservation, to see if she can find jaguars, which are rumored to be in the area. They’re part of an endangered species, and she will set up her cameras and canvass the area for them. What she didn’t know is there’s a white supremacist group in the area causing trouble and a man named Roger Trager, is coming on the protected land, killing animals. The group warns Alex to leave and when she doesn’t she’s in a race to save her life, getting help from an unlikely source. This is the fourth book in the series and it’s another great one. Author Henderson does her homework in regards to the jaguars and how they’re endangered. She works the information easily into the story. Fans of the series will like this one.
