Greta Perks was once a star, for ten years she was the spokeswoman for Maple Gold, in commercials with her husband and daughter, and then it was over. Today, she is in a trial separation with her husband, and having to deal with her 15-year-old daughter, who is a moody teen. She has no acting jobs and leads a quiet life. She runs into an older lady who gives her a flyer about her coffee shop, and Greta goes to visit the mysterious place, run by Iris. She makes special blends tailored to the individual person, and offers Greta a cup. With the cup of coffee, you can make one wish, and it will come true, but there are rules. She wishes to live in Mapleville, the town in her coffee spots, and finds life there is fun. When she returns from her trip, she can’t wait to go again, but has to wait a week. She is finally given the option of living there for good, or staying in her life that she lives now. This is a fun story about one woman who is down on her life and can make her life different if she wants. At its core. it’s about family and change. A heartwarming story to end your reading year. The book design is also done up in a holiday green that is awesome looking.
