Willa Stannard worked as an anchor at a Chicago TV station, until she had a panic attack in the middle of her broadcast. Then her body is found in the bathtub, her wrists are slashed and there’s a note, and it all points to suicide. Her estranged sister Sawyer doesn’t believe she would take her own life. She decides to investigate, and finds that Willa was writing a true-crime novel, about a baby that went missing many years ago. Her findings take her to places, and people she doesn’t want to know about. As she follows in her sister’s steps, it could lead to shocking revelations, and her own life being in danger. This is a great, thrilling, psychological debut for author Robards. She hits all the right notes, and you become engaged in the novel. Can’t wait to see what she does next.
You can pick up The Three Deaths Of Willa Stannard in stores on Tuesday, June 20th from Crooked Lane.
