Author Lisa Unger is back with her 17th novel The Stranger Inside. It’s a psychological thriller that has the reader on the edge of their seat with one shocking reveal after another that you don’t see coming.

Twelve year old Rain Winter barely escaped abduction while walking through the woods. Her two best friends at the time Hank and Tess were not so lucky, Hank managed to escape but Tess did not. The man responsible was sent to prison but recently was released. Now today Rain is married and has a 1 year old little girl Lily. Rain is a stay at home mom at the moment. She was an new producer. She is ready to go back when she hears about a murder of a man she had covered who was killed the same way his wife was.

This awakens something in Rain. Then there are other murders taking place where the victims are killed the same way they murdered people. Rain is soon on the case investigating if the murders are linked and looking over her past that very few know about. A mysterious person from her past is also writing chapters talking about his feelings for Rain and also their past. The past and present link up as the story goes along leading to twists and to long held truths being revealed. Ones that could change everything for Rain.
