Fiona Winslow has bought Wurimbirra, a family estate, from her cousin, who inherited it after the death of his author father. She has always loved the house and plans to fix it up. Fiona is warned that there are ghosts and secrets, and even the people who live in town are afraid to go into the house. When she finds a box of books, The Midnight Estate, she starts reading it, and is fascinated by the story, which we get to read as well. Once she finishes the book, she learns a shocking secret about the story in the book, and her own life. This is another incredible novel from author Kelly Rimmer, who never disappoints. The story, the characters, and the twists make for a story you don’t want to put down.
